Entering the game Curry needed just 28 points to reach the milestone and he finished with a game-high 34 points including three 3-pointers, shooting 11-of-21 overall from the field. He scored 18 of his points during a 30-12 run that wiped out a 14-point deficit, giving the Warriors consecutive wins for the first time since Feb. 7.
In the process, Curry became just the 49th player in NBA history to reach the 20,000 point plateau. The last player to do it was LaMarcus Aldridge in October 2021.

Curry spoke about the significance of the milestone postgame.
“Any accomplishment that you do, whether individually or as a team, is special,” he said. “You work every day to keep getting better. The longer you stay at this level good things will continue to happen.
“I’ve been blessed to play this game and do it with some amazing people with hopefully a lot more to come. It’s pretty special for sure.”
Curry is just the eighth active player to reach the mark behind LeBron James, Carmelo Anthony, Kevin Durant, James Harden, Russell Westbrook, Chris Paul and Aldridge.
