I don’t particularly agree with that logic. First of all, if Weeden isn’t playing well then it’s not as if the Cowboys’ points decrease and nothing happens to Arizona’s points. Despite their struggling red zone offense, the Cardinals under Carson Palmer still average 26 PPG in his starts. And more opportunities vs. the Cowboys defense equals more points. Second, even if Weeden starts, I don’t think the play-calling for Dallas will be so much different that this game could not exceed 45 points....

For what its worth, I don’t expect our hosts to enjoy an apparently slow track any more than we did. Assuming that conditions ease tomorrow, I think we will make life difficult for them. Bowling with a wet ball won’t be great, but Derbyshire’s seam attack will trouble sides at any level and how much our hosts want a win will be dictated by their attitude tomorrow, in what is now a good old-fashioned three-day game....
