The Washington Nationals defeated the Houston Astros, 6-2, at Minute Maid Park in Houston to cap one of the more strange and improbable World Series on record. For starters, no team won at home, so the road team won every game—the first time in 115 seasons of World Series. It’s also the first time any of the major American sports—NBA and NHL included— have seen a road team win every road game in best-of-7 championship series....

Wasteland 3, released in August of last year from inXile Entertainment, is the newest entry in the legendary post-apocalyptic CRPG series. Wasteland 3 was well received upon release, putting players in control of a small group of survivors in a ravaged, post-apocalyptic world where they have to make moral decisions and survive turn-based tactical combat against other survivor groups. Delighted tourists at the Kapama Private Game Reserve in the Kruger National Park in the Limpopo Province of northeastern South Africa, watched from safari vehicles as the pair confronted them in the bush. The first elephant calf can be seen in the footage running up with its trunk raised and its ears spread wide, a classic elephant warning sign for a charge. The tweet also revealed the new release date for Season 2, brand-new content, and a few quality-of-life updates for both Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2. Many meta weapons received nerfs, and weapons that flew under the radar have now taken the main stage. Caldera is an extensive map with lots of wide and open spaces. Not all encounters in this arena will be in tight and confined spaces. As the map is vast, it provides for the ability to engage in proper long-range fights, where players must account for bullet physics to be accurate. Long-range combat is pretty common in Caldera, and they will often find themselves in scenarios where they must take that long-range fights and simply cannot escape....

The Boston Celtics broke their 3-game skid with a 118-112 win against the Indiana Pacers in their previous outing. Kemba Walker scored 32 points to help the Boston arrest their recent slide to bring his team back into playoff contention. Meanwhile, the Washington Wizards beat the Minnesota Timberwolves 128-112 on Saturday to inch a step closer to the playoffs. Bradley Beal, the league’s leading scorer, produced 34 points with eight rebounds and six assists, while Russell Westbrook had another triple-double, bagging 19 points, 14 rebounds and 12 assists....

InXile isn’t the only developer that has revived the isometric RPG format. Obsidian Entertainment created two fantasy RPGs with isometric layouts that gained critical acclaim, Pillars of Eternity and its sequel, Pillars of Eternity 2: Deadfire. Obsidian, however, has now opted to make the same change seen in the Fallout franchise, dropping the isometric format to make Avowed, a first-person RPG set in the Pillars of Eternity universe. There are some good reasons that the next game after Wasteland 3 should consider the same move....

It seems that this gameplay video and the introduction of multiplayer have provided fans wth exactly what they’re looking for, as Wasteland 3 quickly blitzed through its crowdfunding goal. The goal of its Fig funding campaign was set at $2.75 million, but in just three days almost 14,000 backers have contributed to the campaign. As of this writing, total funding has reached $2.8 million. With just over 25 days left to go, the campaign is far from over and there are several Wasteland 3 stretch goals meant to give backers even more bang for their buck....
